Junior Civil Construction Team Member

About the role

​

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Civil Team Member to join the Alpine Civil team. You’ll be hands-on from day one — working on projects across Central Otago alongside experienced, hard-working crews. Our yard is based in Clyde, however pickups will be offered from central Alexandra, Clyde and Cromwell. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude who wants to build a long-term career in civil construction or drainage works and is ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with us.

What you'll be doing - ​working on a variety of civil construction and drainage projects that may include;

​

  • Installation of below ground utility ducts

  • Concrete works

  • Bridge repairs

  • Construction of retaining walls

  • Drainage and stormwater installations

​

  • Physically fit and able to work in a variety of environments

  • Keen to learn, develop, and grow in the role long-term

  • Safety-conscious with a good understanding of on-site H&S practices

  • Team player with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour

  • Strong work ethic — reliable, honest, and hard-working

  • Good communication skills​​

  • Ownership of your work and willingness to maintain high standards in everything you do

  • Able to follow health and safety procedures on site at all times.

  • Happy to work outside all year round and around 50 hours per week.
